Social Skills Workshop - Smiling

We know that children and young people learn better when they are safe, healthy, active and enjoy life.  The Children's Fund has commissioned three evaluations that will contribute to the growing body of evidence on how education and well-being go hand in hand in achieving better outcomes for children.

Newcastle University...

The Youth Inclusion and Support Panels (YISPS) have been evaluated by Newcastle University and highlighted the positive work and outcomes for young people engaged with the YISPs. The YISPs have contributed to the youth crime reduction work in Cambridge and Wisbech. The report is available and can be downloaded here.

The "Are you listening" Toolkit...

and Workshop are equipping service providers with the skills and tools to be informed by the needs and wishes of children themselves, with the aim of shaping future provison.

Home School Liaison...

across Cambridgeshire is being examined to develop an evaluation framework for workers.  This evaluation and evidence will inform the new Joint Development Commissioning Group who see these types of workers as a county priority in terms of preventative work.

Over the last two years Cambridgeshire Children's Fund has delivered 34 services to over 4000 children, ensured the Voluntary Community Sector has become central to the programme and children are having a say in the services they receive.
