What is home school liaison?
Home school liaison work is child-centered work that builds a positive partnership between home and school in order to support children's development and learning. It identifies and tackles difficulties at an early stage and aims to link families to more specialised help and support when necessary.
Cambridgeshire Children’s Fund commissioned an evaluation of the role of Home School Work across Cambridgeshire with the added task of developing an evaluation framework for those undertaking Home School Work in the county.
The evaluation looked at 13 services, provides a detailed analysis of 13 ways of delivering Home School Liaison work and the evidence from a literature review. The evaluation concludes with a number of recommendations and a proposed model of Home School Liaison Work.
The evaluation report and framework are now available and can be downloaded from this page.
