... what is a placement agreement?

The Placement Agreement is a document which sets out what happens day to day in the place where the child is living – which could be a foster home, or a care home or with a relative. It includes information about the child’s living arrangements, education, allergies and other health issues and everyday routines. It also describes any contact arrangements with parents or others and how these will be managed, including travel.

Like the Care Plan, the Placement Agreement should be completed within 10 days of the child becoming “looked after.”
