Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

What if I want to complain?  Or make a comment?

Answer:

If you've got problems with social care services whether they are big or small, we can help by:

  • making a phone call for you
  • helping you write a letter
  • making sure your views are heard at meetings or reviews
  • linking you with an advocate who will work out with you what you want to say and if necessary, say it for you.

The sorts of things we can help with are:

  • how you are treated by your carers or social workers
  • if you feel no-one listens to you
  • if decisions are made about you by others and they don't include you
  • not being allowed to attend your review
  • when the people you live with don't care about you
  • other people are told information about you they don't need to know
