Becoming a Childminder
Extras

Childminders look after children in their own home. They cater for the child's physical, educational, social and emotional needs by providing a warm, caring environment along with stimulating play and learning activities. Most full-time work is with babies and children under five years old.  Looking after older children before school, after school and during the holidays may also be required.

Childminders are now registered by OFSTED
and inspected every year.

If you would like to become a childminder please
call the Childcare Information Service on:

      0845 04 54 014
