The Cambridgeshire Teenage Pregnancy Partnership has produced a number of leaflets to support projects and services across Cambridgeshire and to raise awareness amongst young people of these services.
Some of these leaflets are designed to support young people to consider whether they are really ready for sex such as the R U Ready? Quiz leaflet or the R U Ready? Card, both of which are designed to support young people to recognise that not all young people are sexually active and highlight that many young people often feel under pressure to become sexually active which often leads to feelings of regret. Therefore these leaflets, as well as work across the county directly with young people, aim to support young people to delay early sex.
Other leaflets are designed to raise awareness of sexual health support available to young people such as the C-Card leaflet and the Chlamydia Screening Programme leaflet and cards. The C-Card leaflet provides information about the C-Card (condom card) scheme and where young people can access it. The Chlamydia Screening Programme cards and leaflets aim to raise awareness of Chlamydia and how young people can access tests and further information and support.
Other leaflets produced are designed to support young parents. The Young Parents booklet aims to raise awareness of the services which can support young parents on a number of different issues including health, education, training and employment, as well as money and benefits. These are designed by area across the county and therefore different versions are available for Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire, Fenland and East Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire. Another leaflet designed for young parents focuses on Parental Responsibility and highlights some of the key facts young parents might need to know in terms of parental responsibility.
