Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES)

Information about the community equipment service for people with disabilities

The Integrated Community Equipment Service provides equipment on loan to help adults and children with activities of daily living across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The service is operated by Nottingham Rehab Supplies (NRS) and managed by Paul Bolton, Contract Manager.

ICES provides:

  • Equipment for daily living, eg toiletting and bathing equipment
  • Equipment for home nursing, eg special mattresses for pressure relief
  • Mobility equipment, eg walking frames
  • Minor housing adaptations, eg grab rails and small ramps

Wheelchairs are NOT provided through ICES. but by the wheelchair service.

How to access equipment from ICES.

In order to receive equipment from the ICES, service users must have been assessed by a member of the health and / or social care team. This might be an occupational therapy assessment or an assessment by a district nurse or physiotherapist.

For an assessment contact Cambridgeshire Direct on:

Once equipment has been provided on loan, it remains the property of the Integrated Community Equipment Service.
