Listening to and involving carers is important
Cambridgshire's Learning Disability Partnership (LDP) have set up a Carers' Network.
The purpose of the group is to:
- provide a network of carer representatives across the county for the LDP,
- have a link to the Eastern Region Learning Disability Carers' Network and the National Learning Disability Carers' Network,
- discuss issues affecting carers of people with learning disabilities across the county,
- identify when and how issues and proposals are issued to a wider carer perspective,
- provide views on proposals,
- feed back carers' issues and views to the LDP Board.
We also provide training opportunities for carers so they are confident and able to influence services and planning.
The minutes of the last meeting of this group are available from this page (please see links on the right hand side under publications). The role of the representatives attending the group is also explained in the group's Terms of Reference.
