Help to continue living at home if you are old or disabled

A number of services are available to help people stay living in their own homes if they want to.  This  includes help with problems around:

  • Personal care eg need for help getting in and out of bed, bathing, washing, dressing, cooking, going to the toilet.
  • Mobility eg getting up and down stairs, getting to the shops, moving around the house.
  • Social isolation and loneliness.
  • Mental health eg confusion.

If you, or someone you know, could do with this sort of help, and you would like to enquire about Home Care, just call our Cambridgeshire Direct Contact Centre on:

   0845 045 5202

A social care worker will visit and make an assessment of your social care needs.  If you are eligible to receive services then we will agree with you a Care Plan which sets out the services you will receive and what, if anything, they will cost you.  You will be given a copy of the Care Plan.

We will not charge for services until we have had a chance to carry out a Financial Assessment of your ability to pay.

If you do not meet our eligibility criteria we will offer advice and guidance on where to get more information.
