For those who have difficulty in cooking, a supply of frozen meals, which can be heated in a microwave, provide a convenient substitute.

To organise delivery of frozen meals, you can either go direct to Wiltshire Farm Foods direct, or if the person for whom you are organising meals, is very frail, you can approach Social Care Services for assistance.  See our pages on Accessing social care for our processes by which community meals and a range of other services can be provided.

The Frozen Meal Service provided to Social Care Service users by Apetito is delivered by their 3-franchisee operators Wiltshire Farm Foods. Deliveries are made on a weekly or fortnightly basis and the meals can be heated by microwave. (Microwaves and tabletop freezers are provided free of charge to Social Care Service users when necessary). Service users can choose from a range of 55 main meals of which 15 are vegetarian options.
An inclusive charge for meals organised via Social Care Services Contract of £3.40 (2008/9) is made for a main meal and dessert. Ethnic and diabetic meals are also available.
