Domestic Cleaning
Extras

We are often asked if we can provide domestic cleaners.    If a person has a severe condition, for which they are receiving domiciliary care to help them to continue to live in their own home, and where cleanliness is an issue, then cleaning may be included in their care package.  (For an assessment of care needs see here)

From December 2007, in response to a suggestion from colleagues in Age Concern Cambridgeshire, we have introduced a new facility.  If you are looking for domestic cleaning services from an agency where workers are CRB checked, please use the "Ebook" version of the Care Choices Publication "Cambridgeshire Care Services Directory 2008".  In the section on Homecare listings starting on page 26, domiciliary care agencies who will provide carers for Domestic work are marked with a red "D".

For domestic oven cleaning you may wish to use Ovenclean Ltd as recommended by Age Concern, Cambridgeshire Contact is Mark Stamford 01353 661257

Cleaning of houses infested by vermin, or that present a health hazard should be referred to the Local District Council's Environmental Health Department. Houses may only be cleaned with the permission of the occupier unless there is danger of explosion due to, for example, build up of methane gas.
