With the introduction of Self-Directed Support and the Personalisation of Adult Social Care, individuals will be given more choice and control over the types of support and services they wish to receive. They may wish to continue to use a provider accredited by the County Council, or may decide to choose alternative support and services.
As a result, the market needs to develop in to one that sustains the introduction of Self-Directed Support and Personal Budgets and delivers the services required by individuals.
This chapter tells you more about the monitoring processes undertaken by the County Council to develop its accredited provider list. It also looks at the training and advice available to help you with training your staff following the introduction of Self-Directed Support.
