... working in partnership

The Supporting People team works with the following groups to provide housing related support with housing providers and partner organisations.

These groups are:

Supporting People Joint Member Group

 - this is a group of elected council members from the district councils and the county council.  They provide checks and balances on the Supporting People programme e.g. they would consider a recommendation for a new service and make sure it is what local people really want.

Supporting People Commissioning Body

 - this is a group of senior officers from the district councils, the county council, probation and the Primary Care Trusts who set the direction of the Supporting People programme e.g. they would agree which areas of work the team should most concentrate on.

Supporting People Development and Implementation Group (formerly Core Strategy Development Group)

- this is a group of officers from the district councils, county council, probation and health who give advice to the team at an operational level e.g. about dealing with an organisation which was not supporting people as well as it should.

Most recent approved minutes of these groups and their terms of reference are listed on the right.
