Direct, frequent and stress free travel
Park & Ride provides direct and stress free travel into Cambridge and is used by over 3.2 million commuters, shoppers and visitors a year. Customers can park for free in one of the 5000 spaces available across five sites and beat the queues into the heart of the city.
Located at Babraham Road, Cowley Road, Newmarket Road, Madingley Road and Trumpington the five sites are on the main radial routes into Cambridge. They all provide waiting rooms, baby change facilities, snack and drink machines and information stands.
The five sites operate between 07.00 to 20.00 Monday to Friday and 08.00 to 20.00 on Saturday. Late night opening is on Wednesdays until 21.00. On Sundays the sites at Madingley Road, Newmarket Road and Trumpington are open between 09.00 and 18.00. The first bus from each site varies and more detailed information can be found on the Park & Ride timetable.
All sites are staffed during opening hours and are secured with barriers after the last bus. These barriers rise to allow traffic to leave after hours. Height barriers exist at Cowley Road, Newmarket Road and Madingley Road.
Overnight parking is not permitted at any of the sites.
The Park & Ride service is a Quality Partnership between Cambridgeshire County Council and Stagecoach. The bus company has made an impressive £2.8 million investment in state of the art Park & Ride buses that have leaner, greener engines.
