When the issue of a Blue Badge is not automatic, it may be necessary to conduct an Independent Mobility Assessment. You will be notified of this requirement in writing during the course of your application.
If you fail to make an appointment or fail to contact us within a month of the notification letter, your application for a Blue Badge will be closed and it will be necessary to reapply.
Booking an appointment for an independent mobility assessment
If you have received a letter asking you to attend an Independent Mobility Assessment, you will need to arrange an appointment for the assessment by calling 01480 373695. There are mobility centres throughout the county; simply pick the nearest or most convenient for your circumstances.
Blue Badge Assessment Centres
If you are notified that you need a mobility assessment you will have to attend an appointment at one of the five Blue Badge assessment centres around the county.
There is one in each district within the county. They are:
