The National Cycle Network (NCN) is a comprehensive network of safe and attractive routes to cycle throughout the UK.
It has been created by 450 local authorities and other partners, and is co-ordinated by the sustainable transport charity Sustrans.
National Cycle Network routes 1, 11, 12, 51, 53, 63 all go through Cambridgeshire.

NCN Route 51

This cycleway runs alongside the existing bridleway and forms part of the National Route 51 of the National Cycle Network, which links Newmarket to Cambridge and Huntingdon.
The NCN Route 51 passes through Cambridgeshire, starting in Oxford and finishing in Harwich.
Hemingford to Godmanchester, East Side Common Cycleway (part of NCN 51)

This cycleway links Cow Lane, Godmanchester to Common Lane, Hemingford Abbots, and also forms part of the 46 mile Pathfinder Long Distance Walk.
It is a heritage trail linking together the airfields used by the Royal Air Force Pathfinder Force, disbanded after the 2nd world war. A book of the guide to the Pathfinder Long Distance Walk was published by J&KH Publishing (2001) ISBN 1 900511 73 8.
It's a high quality route, which is free of motorised traffic and passes through ancient pastureland. The path stretches across East Side Common and provides improved cycle links for the local villages into Huntingdon.
