Over two thousand bikes are stolen in Cambridge each year. Your bike doesn't need to be one of them.
You should always lock your bike, even for brief stops, to a fixed object with a good lock.
When your bike is at home, make sure you don't leave it loose in a garden or yard. Remember that garden sheds are targets for thieves.
You should note your bike frame number, make, model and colour, and take a photo of it.
You can register your bike online for free using Immobilise, the national property register. If your bike is unfortunately stolen contact the police using the link on the right hand side.
