How to apply
Please note that application forms for school transport are available from this website. Alternatively forms are available from the school.
Q. How do I apply for home to school transport?
The forms are sent to the primary schools in May of each year, parents of pupils starting in September should request a form from the school. For Year 6 pupils who are transferring to secondary school in September the primary school is asked to distribute forms.
Parents of pupils who are entitled to travel on school transport should complete the form and return it to the Education Transport Department. The form has step by step notes to assist with completion.
When applying for transport under the new extended rights for secondary age pupils from low income families, parents have to provide original documentation as proof of low income status along with their completed application form.
Parents of non-entitled pupils should complete the form and return it to the Education Transport Department enclosing their payment. This should be done after the start of the half term holiday immediately before the term for which the application is being made.

Important please note when applying for pre-16 transport
You must allow at least 10 working days between receipt of a completed transport application form and the pass being issued. If you fail to do so Cambridgeshire County Council cannot guarantee the pass will be issued in time for the start of term. If you do not receive your child’s bus pass before the start of term (as a result of sending in the application too late) you will be responsible for any transport costs in getting your child to school until the pass arrives.
If it takes longer than 10 working days to process your application you may be entitled to a refund of any costs you have to meet in getting your child to school. However refunds can only be considered if your child has kept their bus tickets or a receipt. Refunds will not be considered if tickets/a receipt cannot be produced.
