Walking in Cambridge city centre
Extras

Once you are in the centre, Cambridge's mix of green spaces and exceptional architecture means that there are lots of interesting walks or places to escape the hustle and bustle.

The Pedestrian Zone is generally good for access as it is practically traffic free between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday but there are some routes that are more difficult to negotiate than others, for example, streets with cobbles and no dropped kerbs.

There may also be some vehicles, e.g. the shuttle bus and a few permit holders. In addition, cycling is permitted in one direction along Trinity Street.

Most controlled pedestrian crossings have facilities for visually and hearing impaired people.

The Grafton Centre is undercover and completely pedestrianised.
