The Cambridgeshire Guided Busway is currently being built between St Ives and Cambridge.

Most of the construction for the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway takes place away from the public highway. However, some new junctions need to be built where the busway crosses existing roads.

Many of these junctions can be built using temporary traffic lights.

However, some roads are too narrow to construct the new junctions safely. As there is not enough space to construct the junction with motor traffic going by, some of these roads need to be closed whilst construction takes place.
