Traffic on Hills Road bridge has to be reduced to single lanes in both directions to allow the road works to take place. 

To keep the traffic over the bridge moving, the County Council will temporarily prohibit some right turns at junctions on either side of the bridge.  These turns are:

• The right turn from Hills Road south into Cherry Hinto Road.
• The right turn from Hills Road north into Brooklands Avenue.
• The right turn from Brooklands Avenue onto Hills Road bridge.

By prohibiting these right turns, we will be able to adjust the phasing of traffic lights on eiter side of the bridge to maximise the green time for traffic leaving the bridge.
