The Highways Development Control Manager leads on developing highway development control procedures, policy and standards and coordinates the work undertaken through the Area Traffic Teams.
The Cambridgeshire County Council Highways Development Control Manager is responsible for:
- assessing the transport impact of area wide developments such as Northstowe and the Cambridge fringe areas.
- coordinating the highway response on planning policies such as Local Development Frameworks and major developments.
- developing all development control policies.
- leading on the development of the Cambridgeshire Design Guide.
Overall the team is responsible for:
- assessing the transport impacts of proposed developments within the County.
- assessing the layout and construction of new residential development and subsequently negotiating section 38, 106 and 278 agreements.
Please note:
For Section 38,106 and 278 agreements negotiated after the 13th December 2011, applicants will be responsible for paying the energy costs of Street Lighting within their development until it is adopted by Cambridgeshire County Council.
