The main objective of the Traffic Signals and Systems team is to ensure that suitable traffic signals are provided to reduce accidents and improve conditions for cyclists, pedestrians (in particular people with a disability) and public transport.
The team maintains the traffic lights and their related systems so that they are operational at all times.
The team also maintain the interactive warning signs that may alert drivers to speed limits or oncoming hazards.
