In the County, including Cambridge City, traffic signal lamps are bulk changed at 6 monthly intervals. Push button lamps are also changed at 6 monthly intervals.
On the 6 monthly visit, the operation of all signal lamps, wait lamps, pedestrian push buttons and audible units are checked. The alignment and visibility of signal heads is also checked.

Additionally, the general condition, accessibility and electrical safety of equipment is checked annually on all installations.
