For the movement of large oversized vehicles and loads, permission should be obtained prior to their movement on the highway. A Police escort may be necessary or a bridge or structure may need to have its load capacity checked.

The haulier of the abnormal load is responsible for surveying the route of the load and arranging the removal of any street furniture and overhead cables.

High and Wide Loads

Heavy Loads

Movement of Heavy Loads should be notified to WS Atkins Consultants Ltd Abnormal Loads Officer on Cambridge 01223 81 40 65.
