How much will the road cost?
Extras

The cost of the road is likely to be £25 million:

  • £6 million will be funded through Central Government's Communities and Local Government Growth Area Fund.
  • The remainder will be funded by developers working in the area.

The original estimate for the road was £18 million and this has risen for a number of reasons.

Inflation has risen more than originally predicted, the costs of materials and labour have increased and a higher specification for the bridge over the railway has been incorporated into the designs.
