Possible timeline of key events

November 2006

  • Planning permission granted. The application was referred to the Secretary of State for final approval, as some parts of the new road are in the Green Belt

December 2006

  • Secretary of State's approval granted

April 2007 -November 2007

  • Archeaology
  • Relocation of services (for example, water and gas pipes)
  • Site clearance

November 2007 - March 2008

  • Construction - Phase 1. Hauxton Road to Shelford Road

Dependant on funding

  • Construction - Phase 2. Shelford Road to Addenbrooke’s Hospital

Dependant on funding

  • Completion
