South Area Parking Review

Cambridgeshire County Council are currently reviewing the South Area Parking Plan. The Plan will cover a large area of the southern part of the City and includes parts of Coleridge, Queen Edith’s, Romsey and Trumpington wards.

The key aims of this project are as follows:

  • To develop a strategy for future parking management
  • To influence and inform future priorities for private and public sector investment in parking
  • To co-ordinate and scrutinise parking management and performance
  • To address parking issues in the most cost efficient way

Alongside this we also need to consider issues around local parking-related congestion, safety issues, the potential for parking charges, and new housing and business developments. Whilst assessing the potential for any changes it is key that we consider the views of local residents and businesses, and assess their parking needs.
