Access protection markings will normally only be provided where the entrance has all necessary planning permissions and is a properly constructed footway crossing but is not immediately obvious to a driver.

Access protection markings (or entrance protection markings) will not be provided in residential culs-de-sac where problems appear to be caused by the residents themselves.
