Routine maintenance up to a maximum value of £2,000 per scheme may be authorized by Highway Supervisors.
Minor improvement schemes, each with a value of between £2,000 and £5,000 can be carried out at the discretion of the Divisional Maintenance Engineers and are funded from the Resurfacing and Reconstruction (R&R) allocation. These schemes can be allocated throughout the financial year, provided the schemes are supported by both the Parish Council and a County Councillor.
Funding for schemes to a value of over £5,000 is allocated following a priority rating of all of the submitted schemes countywide. Schemes are submitted for assessment for inclusion in the annual R&R programme.
