We will deal with spillages on the highway that could cause an immediate hazard to the highway user or to the environment, often in conjunction with the emergency services. For example an oil or diesel spillage or other material falling from a vehicle onto the road.
We aim to attend all dangerous incidents within two hours of notification.
Non-dangerous reports will be inspected within ten
working days and dealt with appropriately.
Please note the Highways Agency are responsible for Trunk Roads (M11, A14, A1(M), A1, A11, A47 and A428).
