Yellow lines

Extras

Yellow lines are provided where there is the need to restrict parking to help traffic flow and to prevent obstructions on the highway.

Yellow road marking include:

  • double yellow lines, used to mark sections of road where there is no waiting at any time.  There are exceptions to this and adjacent road signs will tell you what the restrictions are.
  • single lines usually indicate a shorter period of restriction such as during the day only.  Again, adjacent road signs will tell you what the restrictions are.
  • loading restrictions are shown by yellow markings on the kerb and also on the adjacent road signs.

If you wish to request new yellow lines or if you wish to report faded or missing yellow lines please contact us using the details provided.
