Temporary traffic orders
Temporary traffic orders are sometimes required by statutory undertakers, streetworks licence holders and other qualified persons to allow them to work safely in the highway. The standard cost of obtaining such an order from Cambridgeshire County Council's Office of Environment & Community Services is £850. 

Events on roads
If you wish to hold a street party, fete, carnival or similar event where members of the public will gather in the street or highway for a short period of time, it may be necessary to close the street to through traffic.

Street works licences
Streetworks licences are required by persons wishing to place or retain apparatus, such as sewer connection pipes, in the public highway. Cambridgeshire County Council charges £400 per licence for the first 200 metres plus £100 for additional 200 metres thereafter. Please complete the form in the link above and return to the Street works Coordinator accompanied by a cheque for the full amount payable.  

Tower Crane Licence
