Road safety strategies and reports

The overall objective of the Council's road safety strategy is to achieve targets of no more than 360 deaths and serious injuries and 3000 casualties in total by the year 2010.These targets were developed following the issuing of targets by central government in March 2000. The County Council is also committed to changing public attitudes to encourage responsible use of the County's roads by all road users especially vehicle drivers.
