Find out about the St Neots market town strategy
This is the public consultation draft of the first review of the St Neots Market Town Transport Strategy. The Strategy is currently being reviewed by Cambridgeshire County Council, in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council and St Neots Town Council. The five-year life span of the first strategy (adopted in 2003) is coming to an end. We therefore need to consider progress made on the strategy and revise and update the strategy to reflect this, taking into account the changing needs of the town.
This draft of the St Neots Market Town Strategy has been produced by officers of the County and District Councils and informed by discussions with Members and local stakeholders. The consultation with the public on this draft will enable the Councils to refine the strategy, and consider what schemes and measures should be taken forward for adoption as part of the final strategy.
Full public consultation will ensure that the schemes included in the strategy are appropriate to the town and its users, and will help to produce a priority order for scheme implementation.
The final strategy will provide a programme of schemes to be implemented up to 2011 from LTP funding and other known funding. The programme will support the objectives of the LTP, complement the works already carried out and contribute to the well-being and prosperity of the town.
