Busway contractors, BAM Nuttall, have not yet completed the work needed for the route from St Ives to Cambridge to open.

Bob Menzies, Head of Busway Delivery, said: "I share everyone's disappointment that we have not yet been able to open The Busway, but the ball is in BAM Nuttall’s court as they must first complete the work.

"We have given opening dates in the past based on when the contractor said they would complete the work, but clearly they have not met their own dates. The last thing we want to do is disappoint people once more by announcing another date before the contractor has finished the route, it is checked and signed over to the Council and bus services registered."
