Events

If you are thinking about holding an event in Cambridgeshire then these pages will help you to consider the impact you may have on the road network and how to minimise it.

If you are unsure about how to take your event ideas forward or feel it will have little or no impact on the traffic, then let us know by completing the Event notification form. This information will help us with the planning of other events or we may be in touch with further help and advice.

If you are planning an event which will take place on a road, such as a parade, fair, or street party, then the events on the road pages and the The Good Practice Safety Guide (1282Kb) are good places to start for information.

If your event is not directly taking place on a road, it could still cause disruption to the traffic, especially if you expect a high attendance. If you think this might be the case you may need to consider managing the traffic to your event.

Most events will also need to consider signing, so that everyone will be able to find your venue. Speak to the team with your plans and we will help you with tips and advice.

For further safety information you may want to consider attending a Safety Advisory Group (SAG).
