Where shall we hold our event?
If you are thinking of holding an event, consider where would be the most suitable venue. The highway could be a dangerous place to hold an event due to the potential conflict with traffic.
Will we need a road closure?
If you are holding a parade, race or charity walk you may not need a road closure. Please contact the Traffic Manager's team to discuss.
However, if your event is static, such as a street party or fair or you need to use both sides of the carriageway, then you will need a road closure. Please complete the event road closure application (147Kb) and return it to us.
Please try to contact the team 3 months before the event so that we can help you with planning and any public notices.
Please ensure that you have public liability insurance for your event (a road closure will require up to £5 million cover).
