Our procurement team is now part of LGSS, a shared services venture set up by founding partners; Cambridgeshire County Council, Northamptonshire County Council and Milton Keynes Council, to deliver a wide range of professional and transactional services to local authorities and other public sector organisations.
We deliver a wide range of professional and transactional services to local authorities and other public sector organisations. All contract opportunities are advertised on the Contracts Finder website.
Contracts Finder website is a central advertising portal for contract opportunities in the UK.
Suppliers can register on the portal and save their searches in order to receive email alerts for categories or areas they may be interested in.
How can I use Contracts finder?
The Procurement Team actively uses eProcurement tools. As well as offering small reductions to EU tender timescales, such tools can also reduce administrative tasks and offer greater transparency and audit to the process.
To view and tender for contract opportunities advertised by Cambridgeshire County Council, potential providers can visit the CCC Procurement Portal. You will need to register on this portal in order to view those opportunities. When searching for contract opportunities, please use the 'Find opportunities' tab, filtering by 'LGSS' as the portal.
Supplier user guides written by ProContract on how to use the portal can be found once logged in to your account by accessing the 'Help' function.
We have also written our own guide on using the portal: ProContract Supplier User Guide. If you have any queries about the CCC Procurement Portal please email email@example.com.
Please note, when advertising opportunities on ProContract the Authorities use Common Procurement Vocabulary (CPV) selections to notify potential providers. In order for you to receive opportunity alerts which are relevant to your organisation, please ensure you have the most appropriate CPV codes selected against any existing Workgroups within your profile.
In line with the Local Government Transparency Code 2015, key details for Council Contracts above £5,000 are listed on the Cambridgeshire Insight open data portal.
Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO)
Cambridgeshire County Council is one of the founding members of ESPO. ESPO acts as a purchasing agent for local authorities to ensure they get value for money when buying goods and services. All the goods and services that ESPO supplies to the council have complied with contract regulations.
The other 6 member authorities are:
- Leicestershire County Council
- Lincolnshire County Council
- Norfolk County Council
- Warwickshire County Council
- Leicester City Council
- Peterborough City Council
ESPO services include the supply of:
- stationery and office supplies
- books and publications
- food and provisions
- IT equipment
Standard terms and conditions
The council's standard terms and conditions of purchase apply to all Purchase Orders (PO) raised by the council for a total value below £25,000.
The council wants to pay suppliers promptly and within agreed payment terms. The submitting a compliant invoice document gives details on how you should submit an invoice to the council so that it can be ensured you receive prompt payment.
Modern slavery and human trafficking statement
We are committed to eliminating acts of modern slavery and human trafficking within our client’s business and our supply chains, sub-contractors and partners. Workshops have also been delivered to all members of our CCC Procurement team (8 February 2019) to raise awareness of modern slavery issues in procurement and the supply chain.
