Providing goods and services to the council

Our procurement team is here to provide specialist advice and support to services so the authority obtains the best value for money on all goods, works and services it commissions from external providers.

Contracts Finder

We deliver a wide range of professional and transactional services to local authorities and other public sector organisations. All contract opportunities are advertised on the Contracts Finder website.

Contracts Finder website is a central advertising portal for contract opportunities in the UK.

Suppliers can register on the portal and save their searches in order to receive email alerts for categories or areas they may be interested in.

How can I use Contracts finder?

E-Tendering

The Procurement Team actively uses eProcurement tools. As well as offering small reductions to EU tender timescales, such tools can also reduce administrative tasks and offer greater transparency and audit to the process.

ProContract

To view and tender for contract opportunities advertised by Cambridgeshire County Council, potential providers can visit the CCC Procurement Portal. You will need to register on this portal in order to view those opportunities. When searching for contract opportunities, please use the 'Find opportunities' tab, filtering by 'Cambridgeshire public services' as the portal.

Supplier user guides written by ProContract on how to use the portal can be found once logged in to your account by accessing the 'Help' function.

We have also written our own guide on using the portal: ProContract Supplier User Guide.  If you have any queries about the CCC Procurement Portal please email: Procurement2@cambridgeshire.gov.uk.

Please note, when advertising opportunities on ProContract the Authorities use Common Procurement Vocabulary (CPV) selections to notify potential providers. In order for you to receive opportunity alerts which are relevant to your organisation, please ensure you have the most appropriate CPV codes selected against any existing Workgroups within your profile.

Contract Register

In line with the Local Government Transparency Code 2015, key details for Council Contracts above £5,000 are listed on the Cambridgeshire Insight open data portal.
