Economy, Transport and Environment (ETE) provides a range of services that are crucial to maintaining and improving the quality of life for the people of Cambridgeshire and also supports providing a growing and prosperous economy for the county. ETE makes a substantial contribution to the overall aim of promoting Cambridgeshire as being open for business and a great place to call home.

Infrastructure Management and Operations

We are responsible for the county's transport and waste assets and provide important services that contribute to the well-being of the people living in Cambridgeshire. We manage, maintain and improve the county's transport network and also support business and communities by bringing together Waste Management, Trading Standards and Culture. Community and Cultural Services brings together a wide range of community focused services provided by the council, including libraries and registration and coroners.

Strategy and Development

ETE delivers the county's infrastructure, such as roads and bridges, and promotes cycling. It has responsibility for public transport services throughout Cambridgeshire and for land-use planning. It provides flood risk management, ecological advice, archaeological advice and travel planning. It also delivers adult learning and provides an Adult Careers service. Transport and infrastructure policy and funding includes:
