The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 places a duty upon Category 1 responders to put in place business continuity arrangements.

Business Continuity Management (BCM) is about understanding the key services and functions that the organisation or company provides and planning ahead to reduce or limit the impact of a business disruption in order to maintain an acceptable level of service delivery.

Cambridgeshire County Council conducts internal business continuity planning. We also offer advice and assistance to local businesses and voluntary organisations in order to promote community resilience.

If you require any further information about emergency planning or business continuity please contact the Cambridgeshire County Council Emergency Management Team on [email protected].
