The reports below list payments made to suppliers with a value of £500 or over (inclusive of VAT). The reports are published by month. Our current publication schedule is to publish two months' of data every two months (for example, February and March data to be published by the end of May, April and May data by the end of July etc.). Publication of these lists forms part of the council's commitment to be open and transparent with its residents.
All spend data has been reviewed internally prior to publication.
Payments to certain individuals and suppliers cannot be disclosed as they are covered by the Data Protection Act. Where this is the case the individual or supplier name has been replaced with the word 'Redacted Personal Data' or 'Redacted Commercial Data'.
The document explains further which items of expenditure are routinely redacted and why. Please view the Reduction Rationale
Employee and pensions information are not included as part of the data set as these are not payments to suppliers.
The information is contained within a CSV file so it can be easily read by a variety of applications. However, the CSV format uses a standard column width so not all entries may be completely visible. To view the data you will need to expand the columns to an appropriate width.
In respect of the Local Government Transparency Code requirements, it should be noted:
- we publish expenditure based on gross value (i.e. including VAT), rather than net value. Therefore we do not currently include a column for 'VAT not recoverable'
- our 'Expense Type' column serves as our 'merchant code' field
Changes to data content
With effect from May 2014, our data now includes credit notes over £500. The transaction ID used has also been updated to a different format.
This data is freely reusable under the Open Government Licence.
Openly Local also provides an analytical view of the data which you might find useful.
If you would like to know more about the type of business conducted with these suppliers please submit your enquiry using the online enquiry form below. Please use the description 'Spend data over £500'.
