Cambridgeshire Archives
Cambridgeshire Archives holds a wealth of unique historic records and other resources relating to Cambridgeshire, the former Isle of Ely and their communities. Formerly based in Shire Hall, Cambridge we are now based in Ely.
Visiting is currently strictly by invitation only.
Appointments to visit may be made on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays by emailing cambs.archives@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
We are currently limiting bookings so we can accommodate as many people as possible. Appointments are available for either a morning session (9.30am- 12.45pm) or an afternoon session (1.45pm- 5.00pm).
Christmas and New Year opening hours
- Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Archives will be closed for Christmas and New Year between 24 December and the 2 January 2023
- Cambridgeshire Archives will then remain closed for stocktaking until Tuesday 17 January 2023
- Huntingdonshire Archives will then remain closed for stocktaking until Tuesday 10 January 2023
