January 2020 update: Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Archives are now closed to the public until further notice under the current National Lockdown.

Our research and copying services are suspended.  Our phones will not be manned but we will continue to monitor emails and provide advice and assistance wherever possible, including information on record holdings.

Any updates on the availability of our services will be published here on our website and on our social media pages.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these changes to our usual service and ask for your patience under these difficult circumstances.

Cambridgeshire Archives holds a wealth of unique historic records and other resources relating to Cambridgeshire, the former  Isle of Ely and their communities. Formerly based in Shire Hall, Cambridge we opened our new Archives Centre in Ely on Tuesday 10 December 2019.
