Hello! We are Cambridgeshire Skills, an adult and community learning service based in the county. We deliver both accredited and non-accredited courses covering a wide variety of subjects and skill developments. Our tutors develop and deliver learning through a variety of county wide venues. We exist to provide better outcomes to the residents of Cambridgeshire by;

When you come to study with us, you will have great opportunities to develop your confidence and your skills, with excellent support from our qualified and committed team of teachers and teaching assistants.

We have a variety of different courses to suit all learning needs.

Fancy a nibble? If you like to learn quickly and struggle for time why not try our range of Byte Size Courses? All the knowledge and learning packed into sessions of 1 hrs, 2 hrs or 3 hrs. Livestreamed for convenience! Why not try something new?

Working unsocial hours? Our Online Flexible Courses enable you to work at your own speed and with our online learning portal you can complete your course on the go anywhere, at anytime.

If you are looking for a more structured learning experience our Online Livestreamed Courses have set times and dates, full tutor support throughout the sessions and are delivered livestreamed.

We continue to deliver our Face to Face courses in Covid secure venues.

Eligibility

Most of our courses are free if the below criteria applies to you;

  • have lived in the EEA (European Economic Area) for three years or more
  • earn under £20,000
  • are over 19 years
  • have a Cambridgeshire postcode.

All delivery is subject to the CPCA (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority) or ESFA (Education Skills Funding Agency) Funding Rules depending on your postcode with regards to eligibility.

We may be able to help with the fees we charge on some courses, particularly if you are unemployed, in receipt of benefits, or low waged and are enrolling on a course to help you find employment.

You do not need a referral to access our service!

Facilities and equipment

Cambridgeshire Skills also manage the March Community Centre venue.

We have several different sized rooms and halls available to rent at affordable prices.

Room hirers are responsible for promoting their own events held at the centre. We have community notice boards where the activities can be advertised.

We have a community Café which is run by ‘Hotpots’ This is open to the public and hirers Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10.30 am – 2pm
