Child weight loss

I offer help for any parents who are worried about their child’s weight, activity levels, screen time or diet.

With 17 years’ experience as a health scientist at the University of Cambridge (under my maiden name Dr Kirsten Corder), I have helped over 2000 children to improve their diet, get active and lose weight in the UK and USA. As a scientific expert in child health promotion, I have written more than 75 research papers and have appeared on TV and radio talking about child health behaviour. More importantly, the advice I provide is sensible and sensitive; as well as being a working Mum, I was an overweight child. I have spent my adult life promoting safe child weight loss so that I can help parents to help their children lose weight safely and avoid a life of teasing and yoyo dieting. I am based in Cambridgeshire and I am especially passionate about the health of children in the area.

I offer FREE no obligation 45-minute phone consultations for any parents or carers concerned about their child’s weight, diet, or activity levels. During the free consultation I provide tailored advice; parents can then choose whether they want to hear about our 6- and 12-week programmes. We aim for cost never to be a barrier for anyone who approaches us wanting and needing our help, therefore we have several concession options available. If you are interested in one of these then please mention it during your first free consultation.

What we do

We guide parents through 6– or 12– week programmes.

We start with an in-depth assessment and co-create a health plan just for your child.

Weekly one-on-one consultations support you to make healthy changes and smash roadblocks week after week.

This means that you can help your child lose weight stress-free, without strict diets and often without your child even noticing.

Why our programmes work

Every family is different. We design a new plan just for you.

We give one-to-one support to make changes week after week.

This means your child can lose weight for good.

Eligibility

We work with anyone who looks after a child and is worried about their health.

Consultations are with a caregiver, the child does not need to attend.

We work with parents or carers of children of any age.

Facilities and equipment

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, consultations are via phone or video call. Normally, we offer consultations at our centre in Milton, Cambridge or at your home (distance dependent).
