Dementia UK

Dementia UK is a charity whose main focus is to support families affected by dementia through the provision of Admiral Nurses.

Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who give expert practical, clinical and emotional support to families living with dementia. We are registered nurses, and have significant experience of working with people with dementia before becoming an Admiral Nurse.

The majority of Admiral Nurse posts are developed as a partnership between the charity Dementia UK and a host organisation. Dementia UK provides support with sustaining and evaluating the service as well as providing ongoing professional and practice development support for Admiral Nurses. Our Admiral Nurse Helpline also provides specialist support, through our phone and email service. Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline is still open.
