Resurfacing work will take place along Bridge/Magdalene Street in Cambridge this month.
The road works will be from the junction with Chesterton Lane to the junction with Jesus Lane to replace the existing deteriorating surface with one that is more durable and should be noticeably quieter for local residents and businesses. They will take place from 11-18 May overnight from 9pm to 6am Monday-Friday. A full road closure will be in place for the duration of the works.
A diversion route will be in place along Jesus Lane-Maids Causeway-A603-A1134-Northampton Street.
Cambridgeshire County Council’s Project Engineer, Joshua Rutherford said “We know it can be inconvenient for residents when we have to carry out road repairs but we’re planning ahead to cause as little disruption as possible so please help us out by being aware of the diversion route, and if you’re a cyclist please dismount and walk through the works for both your safety and ours.”
