The creation of an independent charitable trust to manage the Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon has taken a big step forward with the appointment of four trustees.

Huntingdon MP Jonathan Djanogly is amongst the appointments which also include Erika Clegg, Peter Johnson and Camilla Nichol.

Cambridgeshire County Council's Head of Community and Cultural Services, Christine May said "We're delighted by this latest progress. Jonathan has long been a supporter of the museum in his time as a local MP. Erika has extensive experience of creating campaigns for visitor attractions. Peter has long been closely involved with the museum and is a member of the existing management committee and Camilla is well known and respected within the museum sector. Together the four appointments bring a wealth of experience and expertise that will take the trust forward."

The trustees will be responsible for getting the charitable trust up and running, creating a business plan and securing its financial future.

Anyone who would like to register their interest to help as a volunteer can visit the museum, get in touch on [email protected] or telephone 01480 375830.
