Congratulations to Robert Cuffe and Robert Durrant who were married on Saturday in the first same sex marriage wedding ceremony carried out in the County - and one of the first in the country.

The two had their ceremony at Cambridgeshire County Council's Huntingdon Registration Office in the Keats Room, Lawrence Court on Saturday, March 29.

It is the first of such ceremonies held in the County following the change of law which only came into effect that day.

Christine May, Head of Community and Cultural Services, for Cambridgeshire County Council said:

We are delighted that we can help couples celebrate their special day and send our congratulations and best wishes to the couple who have made history.
Cambridgeshire County Council Registration Service performs around 2000 ceremonies a year at various locations across the County. For further details either call in to your nearest office or look at our website
