Members of staff at Cambridgeshire County Council have received awards for completing more than 25 years' service with the authority.

They were presented with their awards by Council Chairman Kevin Reynolds at a special ceremony at Shire Hall (March 27).

Cllr Kevin Reynolds said:

"Everyone receiving awards did so because of the outstanding contribution they have made to Cambridgeshire County Council and the many services it provides. I am delighted their loyal service and dedication has been recognised and I am very pleased to be a part of that. Congratulations to them all."

The recipients included two from Fenland:

  • Vivian MacRae, a senior support worker at Victoria Lodgein Wisbech, who has completed nearly 26 years' service with the County Council
  • Pat Carter, a peripatetic school cook who works mainly in the north of the county, who has also completed 26 years.
